These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our website and services.
By accessing this website, we assume you accept these terms and conditions. Do not continue to use The Literacy Haven Resources if you do not agree to all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.
When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service.
You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password.
Learners are required to set their academic goals per term as long as they learn with us. These goals will be reviewed weekly and monthly by the tutors and the learners. The learners will be taught how to go about this during their introductory lessons.
Learners are required to pay rapt attention during their sessions and apply themselves to their learning.
Only the devices used for the sessions are allowed during lessons. Every other device, book or activity should be removed or suspended until the sessions are concluded. This is to eliminate any form of distractions during the lessons.
Kindly encourage all learners to be in their best behaviour during sessions. We allow our learners to express themselves freely but we request that there is decorum during sessions, to promote mutual respect between learners and the tutors.
Learners will be required to clock in for their sessions on time, except otherwise stated. If they will be unavailable for their sessions, we would prefer to be notified the previous day or an hour before the slated time. Our teachers work with several learners and rescheduling sessions could disrupt their busy schedules.
Learners are allowed three rescheduled sessions per term. If this becomes habitual (4 or more times in a term), a levy of N10,000 only will be paid for every rescheduled class to compensate for our tutor's time.
Safeguarding your child’s wellbeing during our sessions is our top priority. While we work only with professional tutors who uphold the ethos and ethics of the teaching profession, we encourage learners to report any inappropriate behaviour from tutors. Your child’s protection is at the heart of all we do.
The Learning Hub provides a platform to connect Students with Tutors. While we vet our tutors, we are not responsible for the content of the tutoring sessions. Tutors are independent contractors and not employees of The Learning Hub.
All appointments, payments, and communications should be managed through the platform. Attempting to arrange payments or sessions outside the platform is a violation of these terms.
Payments for tutoring sessions must be made through the methods provided on our website.
Fees for our sessions must be paid on or before the fifth day of every new month (e.g on or before July 5th, 2025).
We collect our first session's fees before we begin, This is why we prefer to take learners only at the beginning of every month. Nevertheless, there can be exceptions.
All users agree to behave in a professional and respectful manner. Harassment, abuse, or any form of inappropriate conduct towards any user is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.
Kindly note that the audio-visuals of our sessions are recorded mainly for the safety of your child and our tutors. This is to safeguard both parties in the event of any inappropriate behavior or altercations."
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of The Learning Hub and its licensors. Our trademarks may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of The Learning Hub.
In no event shall The Learning Hub, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
